Controlling bodies registered Minister Roberto Maroni’s Directive, issued to provide innovative programs in order to carry out, strengthen and develop the plans of social aid. In particular, it supports reception services for people with serious disabilities, who can’t rely on family aid, in order to favour independence and self-sufficiency.
Municipalities, Provinces, health services and other local authorities, even joining in associations, may request the financial support. The plans will be financed up to the 50% of the total cost and they have to be completed within 2 years since the allocation of the financial resources.
The directive, which is going to be gazetted, provides 30 days to submit the applications filling the form attached to the text. It also provides a special assessment Commission to select the plans. This Commission will be presided by Giovanni Daverio, General Director for Families and Social Affairs of the Ministry of Welfare, and will be made up of four experts in disabilities matters, including one chosen by ANCI.
